Our first rice cooker (as far as I know) this turned out to be the right product for our needs. It is small in footprint and simple in operation, but it makes great rice in the style of oriental restaurants. Be aware that it does not come with a steaming rack (maybe too small to be useful?) and you can not purchase (at this time anyway) another basket separately if you damage the one that comes with the cooker. The price is right and the product performs exactly as promised.

We need to see if Amazon stands behind these products, this one went up in smoke when it was plugged in, so I can't say if it is any good.
